George Street Chapel Oldham

The grade II* listed George Street Chapel is a unique multifunctional events venue nestled in the centre of Oldham. Its charming characteristics and decor, which stem from formerly being an Independent Methodist Chapel built 200 years ago, were revived and refreshed during professional renovations by modern day artisans, overseen by owners Age UK Oldham. Up-to-date AV equipment as well as disability access and facilities were installed to ensure the three storey building was a user-friendly, flexible space that could be used to host weddings, various celebrations, meetings, training and small conferences among other social and business events.

The chapel also plays host to heritage tours for members of the public, groups and school children, with costumed actors taking participants back in time on a journey to learn and explore how Victorians lived, learnt and worshipped within the chapel walls and the cellar dwellings beneath.
