Sub Hugga presents...POTENTIAL BADBOY & JUNIOR DANGEROUS

Let's get one thing straight; Chris McFarlane aka Potential Badboy is no new kid on the block. Since day one Chris has been a pioneer of Jungle, under various aliases, in more projects than you realise, always favouring pushing musical creativity over chasing the limelight. As Chris's influence in Jungle strengthened he joined SOUR Records in 1994 and worked with the likes of Jason K (Top Buzz), Shy FX & T-Power. The following years brought great success for Chris with his Forward LP being released in Japan and receiving a Gold Disk for his remix of Greater Love on Jungle Mania 2. In 2003 he called on DJ Hype for his next step and in no time he had a kitted out studio and a new home with Playaz. His first release 'Play It Kik It EP' was on Ganja and many more releases followed in the Playaz collective including the seminal You're Mine / Girlz VIP.

Now, Potential Badboy is back, although he never really went away. His 2025 jungle album, Elusive, presents a fresh lens on jungle and drum and bass. Drawing on Potential Badboy's deep production pedigree and his instinctive feel for what's next, it stays rooted in the culture while carving out bold new directions for the genre.
