The Mars Tapes Grand Opening
On March 7th-8th our cassette shop Mars Tapes officially expands to a new space on the 1st floor of Afflecks Palace in Manchester! And we're hosting a free event to celebrate, so come on down!
Saturday (10am-6pm): Live Music from Cowboy Hunters - 4pm & Honk - 5pm
Sunday (11am - 5pm): Dave Haslam DJ Set // 3.30pm
All Weekend: Horace Panter (The Specials) Art Exhibit
Widely recognised as the last dedicated cassette shop in the UK, Mars Tapes has announced it is moving into a massive new unit on the first floor of the iconic Afflecks Palace.
After seven years of championing the analog revival, this third and largest expansion marks a new chapter for the store, transforming it from a specialist retail spot into a full-scale cultural hub.The new space will feature an expanded library of cassette tapes, a wider array of refurbished vintage audio equipment, and the debut of the Mars Tapes Listening Cafe-a dedicated space where customers can enjoy a coffee while listening to tapes from the store's collection.
