Day Time Disco: The Shapeshifters

The Shapeshifters is back in the basement.

Simon Marlin needs no introduction to anyone who's spent time on a dancefloor. The man behind "Lola's Theme" – the UK #1 that shaped a generation of house music – has spent two decades at the sharp end of disco and house. From early residencies at Turnmills and The End to becoming a cornerstone of Glitterbox since its first night on Space Ibiza's terrace in 2014, this is an artist with heritage few can match.
His 2022 album "Let Loose" pulled nearly 20 million streams in its first month. Collaborations with Billy Porter, Joss Stone and Kimberly Davis of CHIC reinforced what heads already knew – The Shapeshifters is operating at a different level. The recent Tripolism remix of "Lola's Theme" went straight to #1 on Beatport earlier this year.

Day Time Disco welcomes him back to Joshua Brooks on Saturday 31st January 2026. Those who caught his extended set here in summer 2024 know the score: four hours of disco-driven house, uplifting vocals, deeper cuts and crisp dubs throughout.
