Alan Fitzpatrick [4-hour set]

Alan Fitzpatrick returns to Joshua Brooks.

Southampton-born and active for nearly two decades, Alan Fitzpatrick has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most consistent and respected techno artists. First breaking through via his own 8 Sided Dice label in 2008, he quickly became a key figure on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, where his groove-led, heavyweight productions helped shape the label’s sound through the 2010s.

In 2016, Fitzpatrick launched We Are The Brave, a label and collective that has since become a major platform for UK and European techno, releasing music from artists including Sasha, Skream, Rebūke, Rudosa, and Reinier Zonneveld. Alongside this, he has released on Cocoon, Bedrock, Figure, Hot Creations, Anjunadeep, and FFRR, while continuing to explore more experimental territory through side projects and aliases.

Fitzpatrick’s sound is defined by weight and momentum. Drawing from UK rave heritage, his sets lean into heavy basslines, funky grooves, and driving rhythms rather than minimalism. He favours sustained builds over quick-fire peaks, allowing tracks room to breathe and the dancefloor time to lock in.

His DJ career includes headlining Berghain, residencies at Fabric London and Jaded, and a full 2024 Ibiza season as a regular at Pyramid at Amnesia. Extended formats suit him best, and this four-hour set gives space for a properly paced journey from open grooves through to late-night pressure.
