About

Loretta Rest is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and cellist from Brighton who is currently studying cello at the Royal Northern College of Music. In 2025 she recorded an album with Brighton-based band WHO OWNS THE SNOW, which features much of her original music. The album will be released in February to coincide with a review in Mojo magazine. 

Loretta takes inspirations from artists such as Nick Drake, Radiohead and This is the Kit, creating a unique multi-genre sound. Now based in Manchester, she has formed a new band with other students from RNCM, to continue her songwriting and live performances.
