To Kill a Mockingbird is Aaron Sorkin’s award-winning stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s novel. It returns to the West End for a strictly limited summer season after successful Broadway and West End runs, and is currently on a sell-out national tour across the UK and Ireland.
Set in 1934 Alabama and inspired by Harper Lee’s own childhood, the story follows lawyer Atticus Finch as he encourages kindness and empathy in his children, then sets out to uncover the truth in a town determined to hide it. The play centres on racial injustice and childhood innocence.
The novel has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide, won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature and was long included on banned-book lists.
