About Hamilton

Hamilton is the musical about Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of America. Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, it tells that story with a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway.

Directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, the show is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton. It presents America’s early history through a contemporary musical style.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15-minute interval. Age guidance: suitable for ages 10+.

Before you book

Hamilton contains some strong language. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to a ticketholder aged 18 or over, and children under 3 will not be admitted.

The performance on Wednesday 29 April 2026 will be a Relaxed Performance for people with autism, learning disabilities, sensory and communication needs, or for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. Sound and lighting adjustments will be made, and normal theatre rules such as being quiet and sitting still will not apply.

Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break, and admittance cannot be guaranteed. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
