The Hunger Games On Stage at Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in London is the first-ever theatre adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ internationally acclaimed book and Lionsgate’s motion picture. It arrives in 2025 in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art venue.
An award-winning creative team brings the production to the stage, including playwright Conor McPherson, whose credits include Girl from the North Country and The Weir, and director Matthew Dunster, whose work includes 2:22 A Ghost Story, Hangmen and The Pillowman.
The production follows Katniss Everdeen as she defies the odds in a story of courage, hope and human spirit. It presents the Hunger Games story as a live theatre event in London.
Running time: Act 1 is 1 hour 07 mins, followed by a 20 minute interval and Act 2 at 1 hour 08 mins.
This production contains loud noises and explosions, haze and smoke, flashing lights and strobe. It also includes depictions of murder and manslaughter, and references to death, grief and guilt.
Under 3s are not permitted. The recommendation is 12+, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
