

Oh, Mary! at Trafalgar Theatre in London is Cole Escola’s dark comedy about Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. The play follows her unfulfilled longing, alcoholism and suppressed desires as it looks at the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs Lincoln through Mary’s own troubled perspective.
Written by Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the production was described by The New York Times as “one of the best comedies in years”. It also received Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play and Best Direction of a Play.
This is an 80-minute one-act play with no intermission.
Running time: 1 hour 20 minutes, with no intermission.
