Oh, Mary! at Trafalgar Theatre, London, is a dark comedy by Cole Escola, directed by Sam Pinkleton and starring Mason Alexander Park as Mary Todd Lincoln. This London transfer follows Mary in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.
The play explores unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires in an 80-minute one-act structure, using Cole Escola’s comic approach to tell the story.
Oh, Mary! received Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play for Cole Escola and Best Direction of a Play for Sam Pinkleton.
