About

About Oh, Mary!

Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre is a dark comedy by Cole Escola, directed by Sam Pinkleton. Set in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, it follows Mary Todd Lincoln in a one-act play that explores her life, desires and frustrations through a sharply comic lens.

The production has received Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play and Best Direction of a Play. It is the London transfer of an 80-minute play that has been presented as a fast-moving comic take on a historically familiar story.

The cast includes Mason Alexander Park as Mary Todd Lincoln, with Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone, Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant, Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher and Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband.

Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes with no intermission.
