Trainspotting - the musical is a new musical at Haymarket, London, based on Irvine Welsh’s Trainspotting. Thirty years on from the film, it brings back Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, Tommy and Kelly, alongside an ensemble cast and a live band.
Written by Irvine Welsh, with music and lyrics by Stephen McGuinness and Irvine Welsh, and directed and developed by Caroline Jay Ranger, the show combines some of the tracks from the film with original songs. It is presented on the West End stage.
The production is described as a musical with live and loud energy, and is framed around the characters and setting familiar from Trainspotting, rather than a straightforward revival of the film.
Duration: 2 hours including a 20-minute interval.
This production is suitable for ages 15 and over. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase, so please check your date and party details carefully before completing the order.
