“Ralph Fiennes - a stage giant…utterly compelling” Daily Telegraph
International star of stage and screen, Ralph Fiennes, gives the performance of his career as Sir Henry Irving, the greatest actor of the Victorian age in an astonishing new play by David Hare fresh from a sell-out season at the Theatre Royal Bath.
He is joined by Miranda Raison (Spooks) playing Ellen Terry, the most loved and best paid actress of the day. She joined Irving's company at the Lyceum Theatre in unprecedented theatrical adventure which is celebrated to this day.
It was never known for sure if Irving and Terry were lovers. One thing is certain however - their relationship changed the theatre forever.
A stellar creative team of Olivier award-winning talent led by director Jeremy Herrin and designer Bob Crowley brings an incredible story to vivid life.
