Grace Pervades at Haymarket, London, is a new play by David Hare. Ralph Fiennes stars as Sir Henry Irving, the greatest actor of the Victorian age, with Miranda Raison as Ellen Terry, the most loved and best paid actress of the day. The production comes fresh from a sell-out season at the Theatre Royal Bath.
The play centres on Irving and Terry’s partnership at the Lyceum Theatre, a theatrical adventure that is celebrated to this day. It explores the long-standing uncertainty over whether they were lovers, and the way their relationship changed the theatre forever. The creative team includes director Jeremy Herrin and designer Bob Crowley.
Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes, including a 20 minute interval.
Patrons requiring accessible seating in the theatre or wheelchair spaces should contact the box office on 020 7930 8800. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
