Disney's Hercules at Theatre Royal Drury Lane is a musical inspired by Disney’s animated film and based on the ancient myth. Set in Ancient Greece, it follows Hercules, who is not quite a god, as he tries to save the world from Hades.
The show brings together direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw, music by Alan Menken, lyrics by David Zippel, a brand-new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah, and co-choreography by Tanisha Scott. It is presented as a lively adventure about self-discovery and love.
In the words of the source material, the production offers a “wise-cracking, column-shaking, underworld-rocking ride” at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
