Review of Serum's Gaff: London

An amazing venue with top notch security and staff

Friendly local pub vibes with a side helping of wobs. Somewhere you can go for a quiet pint while it all blows over.

Arrived at midnight, an hour after doors supposedly opened, only to be met with a queue 90 minutes long. Didn't even bother queuing, it was way too cold to have people standing outside for that long. So disappointed

Waited nearly 2 hours in the freezing cold to get in. When entered the queue at 23:30 it was way over sold. there wasn't enough crowd control and the barriers near the front where a huge trip hazard it wasn't lit properly. People were being sick in the line and the security didn't do anything about it. When you got to the front are Id's where scanned, then me and my boyfriend got split up and I when I was searched by a woman and she didn't asked for consent  just but her hands straight on my boobs putting her hands under my top and i felt very uncomfortable and violated. My boyfriend had his house keys in his pock*t and they were very hostile about him having them on him. We got in at 1:20 ten minutes before serum was due to start we had missed two sets since it opened as the last entry to the club said it was a 1am and they was still lots of people waiting outside. We went upstairs to put are coats away and was met with yet another queue. They were the most efficient time of the night. Then head downstairs to the bar that had again another queue. Once we reached the front they asked for my id I understand that I'm small but my id was scanned on the way in at its 18+ event I'm also 24 so I was a little offended as they know I won't be in there if I wasn't  legal to drink. It felt like a power grab was very unnecessary.
To tolerateWe stayed for two hours and the vibe of the audience was very violent pushing and shoving to get to see serum we were in there like sardines getting crushed. We had to opt to standing by the bar in order not to be injured. And every 30 minutes or so the security guards would make the way in to the crowd with touches and force it was very unsettling. The toliets were so dirty and not a pleasant place to go for a pee as you had to battle with everyone just to pee. I was so excited to finally get to go the the drum shed as it's been a buck*t list venue for me and I was severely let down.

serum was excellent as always but the queue to get in to the venue was absolutely ridiculous, we waited nearly 2h to get in and the security wasn't very friendly

absolutely the worse event i've ever tried to go to the queue was an absolute joke and went down so slowly i didn't even up going in and decided to go somewhere else, will never be going to this place again

Queue system at this venue will always be a joke. Some people queued 2 hours+ meaning they missed a big chunk of the rave. Music was incredible all the djs are my favourite and did amazingly. The atmosphere was fine, people were a lot friendlier than last time I went steel yard. Prices of drinks were really decent. Security aren't friendly though.

Biggest downfall was it took 2 hours to get through a very disorganised security

Absolutely brilliant but thorough security checks meant I waited over two hours in the queue
