About Let the Right One In

Let the Right One In at Underbelly Boulevard Soho is a stage adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s best-selling Swedish novel and award-winning film. Set on a housing estate at the edge of town, it follows Oskar, a bullied teenage boy, and Eli, the girl who moves in next door, as their friendship develops alongside a series of sinister killings.

Adapted for the stage by BAFTA-winning dramatist Jack Thorne and directed by James Dacre, the production brings the vampire myth and coming-of-age story to the stage with 18 young performers from the NYT REP Company. It is part of National Youth Theatre’s Love Bites season during the charity’s 70th Anniversary year.

Running time: 2 hours 15 minutes including the interval. Age guidance: 12+. Dates: 5th to 23rd May 2026.

Before you book

Suitable for ages 12+. If a customer requires the assistance of a personal assistant or carer to attend, the companion is eligible for a complimentary personal assistant ticket, booked through the Box Office.

All performances are Relaxed Horror. The theatre takes a relaxed approach to movement and noise in the audience, latecomers are admitted, and you are free to leave the performance space and return at any time. Ear defenders and ear plugs will be available, and Chill Out Spaces will be available before and during the performance.

Visual Cue Seats are available to book for every performance and include advance warning of moments of high tension or sudden changes such as sudden blackouts, jump scares and loud noises. The performance on Saturday, 16 May at 2pm is captioned in English, and the performance on Tuesday, 19 May at 7pm is audio described. A free Touch Tour is available before the audio described performance; places are limited. No refunds or exchanges after purchase.
