About Let the Right One In

Let the Right One In at Underbelly Boulevard Soho is a stage adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s best-selling Swedish novel and award-winning film. It tells a story of loneliness, friendship and danger as bullied teenager Oskar meets Eli, the new girl next door, who keeps odd hours and never leaves her flat by day.

Adapted for the stage by BAFTA-winning dramatist Jack Thorne and directed by James Dacre, the production features 18 performers from the National Youth Theatre’s REP Company. It is part of the National Youth Theatre’s Love Bites season during the charity’s 70th anniversary year.

This production runs for 2 hours 15 minutes including the interval. Performances run from 5th to 23rd May 2026, and it is suitable for ages 12+.

Before you book

All performances are Relaxed Horror. The theatre takes a relaxed approach to movement and noise in the audience, and latecomers are admitted. You may leave the performance space and return at any time. Ear defenders and ear plugs will be available, and Chill Out Spaces are provided before and during the performance.

Visual Cue Seats are available to book for every performance. These are fixed seats in the auditorium with a light positioned close to the seats, and a Visual Cue Guide will be shared in advance for those who request them. The performance on Saturday 16 May at 2pm will be captioned in English, and the performance on Tuesday 19 May at 7pm will be audio described. A free Touch Tour is available before the audio described performance; places are limited and must be booked with the Box Office.
