About Let the Right One In

Let the Right One In at Underbelly Boulevard Soho is a stage adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s best-selling Swedish novel and the award-winning film. It is a vampire myth and coming-of-age love story centred on Oskar, a bullied, lonely teenage boy, and Eli, the girl who moves in next door.

As sinister killings unsettle the neighbourhood, the story follows the growing bond between the two characters. The stage version is adapted by BAFTA-winning dramatist Jack Thorne and directed by James Dacre, with 18 performers from the NYT REP Company. It is part of National Youth Theatre’s Love Bites season in the charity’s 70th anniversary year.

Before you book

All performances are Relaxed Horror. The theatre takes a relaxed approach to movement and noise in the audience. Latecomers are admitted, and you may leave the performance space and return at any time. Ear defenders and ear plugs will be available, and Chill Out Spaces will be provided before and during the performance.

Visual Cue Seats are available for every performance. These are fixed seats in the auditorium with a light positioned close to the seats, and the Visual Cue Guide gives advance warning of moments such as blackouts, jump scares and loud noises. The performance on Saturday, 16 May at 2pm will be captioned in English, and the performance on Tuesday, 19 May at 7pm will be audio described. A free Touch Tour is available before the audio described performance, subject to limited places. If a customer needs a personal assistant or carer, the companion is eligible for a complimentary personal assistant ticket. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
