About Let the Right One In

At Underbelly Boulevard Soho, Let the Right One In is a stage adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s best-selling Swedish novel and award-winning film. It follows Oskar, a bullied teenage boy living on a housing estate at the edge of town, and Eli, the girl who moves in next door, as a friendship grows alongside a series of sinister killings.

Adapted by BAFTA-winning dramatist Jack Thorne and directed by Olivier and UK Theatre Award-winning director James Dacre, the production is part of National Youth Theatre’s Love Bites season in its 70th Anniversary year. It features 18 young performers from the NYT REP Company.

Key facts: 5th–23rd May 2026; running time 2 hours 15 minutes including the interval; suitable for ages 12+.

Before you book

All performances are Relaxed Horror. The theatre takes a relaxed approach to movement and noise in the audience. Latecomers are admitted, and you may leave the performance space and return at any time. Ear defenders and ear plugs will be available, and Chill Out Spaces will be available for anyone who needs a break before or during the performance.

Visual Cue Seats are available for every performance. These are fixed seats in the auditorium with a light positioned close to the seats, and the Visual Cues provide advance warning of moments of high tension or sudden changes such as blackout, jump scares and loud noises. A Visual Cue Guide will be shared with audiences requesting these seats in advance.

The performance on Saturday, 16 May at 2pm will be captioned in English. The performance on Tuesday, 19 May at 7pm will be audio described, with a free Touch Tour available before the performance. Places are limited. If a customer needs the assistance of a personal assistant or carer to attend, the companion is eligible for a complimentary personal assistant ticket. No refunds or exchanges after purchase.
