About Let the Right One In

Let the Right One In at Underbelly Boulevard Soho is a stage adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s best-selling Swedish novel and award-winning film. It follows bullied teenage boy Oskar, who lives with his mother on a housing estate at the edge of town, and Eli, the young girl who moves in next door and never leaves the flat by day.

As their friendship deepens, the story unfolds as a vampire myth and coming-of-age love story. The production is written by BAFTA-winning dramatist and NYT alum Jack Thorne and directed by Olivier and UK Theatre Award-winning director James Dacre. It features 18 young performers from the NYT REP Company and is part of National Youth Theatre’s Love Bites season in its 70th Anniversary year.

Before you book

All performances are Relaxed Horror. The theatre takes a relaxed approach to movement and noise in the audience, latecomers are admitted, and you can leave the performance space and return at any time. Ear defenders and ear plugs will be available, and Chill Out Spaces will be provided for anyone who needs a break before or during the performance.

Visual Cue Seats are available for every performance and can be booked in advance. These are fixed seats in the auditorium with a light positioned close to the seats, and a Visual Cue Guide will be shared beforehand. The Saturday, 16 May at 2pm performance will be captioned in English, and the Tuesday, 19 May at 7pm performance will be audio described, with a free Touch Tour before the show. Places for the Touch Tour are limited. If a customer needs the assistance of a personal assistant or carer, the companion is eligible for a complimentary personal assistant ticket. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
