About The Gruffalo
The Gruffalo is Tall Stories’ musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, returning by popular demand for its 25th anniversary. It follows Mouse on a stroll through the deep dark wood, where encounters with Fox, the old Owl and Snake lead to the story of the terrifying Gruffalo.
The show is for children aged 3 and up and their grown-ups, with songs, laughs and mischievous fun throughout. It is a 60-minute production built around simple, clear storytelling and the familiar characters from the book.
The story centres on whether the Gruffalo really exists, and whether Mouse’s tale can keep the hungry woodland creatures away.
Running time: 60 mins. Recommended age: 3+
