The Gruffalo at Nimax Theatres is Tall Stories’ musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Celebrating the show’s 25th anniversary, it follows Mouse on a walk through the deep dark wood.

As Mouse goes in search of hazelnuts, they meet Fox, the old Owl and Snake, then invent the fearsome Gruffalo to try to avoid becoming dinner. The show brings the story to the stage with songs, laughs and mischievous fun for children aged 3 and up and their grown-ups.

Tall Stories’ production has also been praised in the press, with The Sunday Times calling it “an irresistibly charming tale told with refreshing simplicity”, The Scotsman describing it as “an absolute delight”, and Whats on Stage calling it “a master-class in timeless storytelling”.

Before you book

Children aged 14 and below must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, and both must be seated next to each other. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
