About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney's internationally celebrated musical, reimagined by director Julie Taymor. It brings Disney's beloved film to the stage with vivid colours, effects and music.

At its centre is Simba's journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Children under 3 years old are not permitted into the Lyceum Theatre. The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

The venue opens 90 minutes before start time. Arrival times vary by seating area: 45 minutes before for Grand Circle and standing positions; 60 minutes before for Stalls, Boxes E and K; 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show starts.

Tickets are sent by confirmation email. If you choose collection at the box office, print the confirmation and bring it on the day at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
