Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney's internationally celebrated musical, reimagined for the stage by Julie Taymor. It follows Simba’s journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.
Based on Disney’s beloved film, the production brings the story to the stage with colour, effects and music. It presents the film in a theatrical form at the Lyceum Theatre.
Key facts: Running time is 2 hours 30 minutes including one interval. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Guests should be seated no later than 5 minutes before the performance begins, and latecomers may need to wait before being seated. Arrival times vary by seating area: Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F, G from 75 minutes before; Stalls and Boxes E, K from 60 minutes before; Grand Circle and standing positions from 45 minutes before.
You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email for printing at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
