About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney’s stage musical adaptation of the film, reimagined by director Julie Taymor. It tells the story of Simba, following his journey from young cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production brings the story to the stage with colour, effects and music, making it a clear choice if you want a musical version of the film in a West End theatre setting.

Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Age guidance: The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 are not permitted into the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Venue doors open 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive in good time: 45 minutes before for Grand Circle standing positions, 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show starts. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you have chosen collection at the box office, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you have chosen e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
