About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is an internationally celebrated musical based on Disney's film. Reimagined by director Julie Taymor, it brings the story of Simba to the stage, following his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production combines glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music, with the story presented in a way that is easy to follow and rich in visual detail.

It is a long-running stage show that has been seen by many audiences, and remains one of Disney's best-known theatre titles.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, and Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

Before you book

Children under 3 years of age are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you have chosen collect at box office, please print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you have chosen e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive early, as latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the performance. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before show start time. Arrival times vary by seating level: 45 minutes before for Grand Circle and standing positions, 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E, K, and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F, G.
