About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King is playing at the Lyceum Theatre, London. This internationally celebrated musical adapts Disney's film for the stage and tells the story of Simba’s journey from cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

Directed by Julie Taymor, the production features striking visual effects, vivid colours and music as it brings the story to the stage in a theatrical format.

The show has been seen by over 110 million people worldwide.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and over. Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Venue doors open 90 minutes before the start time. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before show start time. Arrival times vary by seating area: Grand Circle and standing positions 45 minutes before start time; Stalls and Boxes E, K 60 minutes before; Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F, G 75 minutes before.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you have chosen box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you have chosen e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
