Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney's internationally celebrated musical. Reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, it brings Disney's film to the stage with colour, effects and music.

At the centre of the production is Simba's journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. It is a stage adaptation built around a strong story and a large-scale theatrical presentation.

Key facts: running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday performances at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Age guidance: recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 years of age are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Arrival and tickets: the venue opens 90 minutes before start time. Please arrive 45 minutes before start time for Grand Circle and standing positions, 60 minutes before start time for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before start time for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes prior to show start time. After purchase, you will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home.

Other important information: strobe lighting is used several times during the performance. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
