About

About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney's internationally celebrated musical, reimagined for the stage by director Julie Taymor. Based on Disney's beloved film, it follows Simba's journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production brings together colour, effects and music in a live theatre setting. It presents the story as a stage musical rather than a screen adaptation, with the original narrative at its centre.

Key facts: running time 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval.
