Candelazo Bailable honours *El Día de las Velitas* — a deeply beloved Colombian celebration that marks the beginning of the festive season. A night of warmth, light, intention, and renewal.

But this year, the celebration carries an even deeper meaning:
💛 **Candelazo Bailable is a crowdfunding event to support the communities affected by Hurricane Melissa.**
In times when the world feels heavy, we believe in the power of coming together — especially from a city full of art, privilege, and possibility. This is our moment to unite, to show up for one another, and to put a small but meaningful grain of solidarity toward those rebuilding their lives.

🎶 **On the night:**
• **Live band: Suma & The Southern Jaguars** — an explosive blend of cumbia, champeta, punk, jazz & bullerengue.
• **Queer Salsa class** to open the evening and get everyone dancing.
• **Vinyl DJ lineup** bringing the authentic December Colombian sound: Moralito, Dr. Perra, Amankay, Soque & Suma — tropical orchestras, cumbia, merengue, chucu-chucu, salsa and more.
• **Open Mic moment** — poetry, rap, vocals or whatever you feel moved to share over beats.
• **Symbolic farol lighting** outside — a gentle gesture of collective hope and renewal.
