Tigers and Flies LP Fundraiser w/ The Slow Country + SHY !

Tigers and Flies come together to play their new LP through in full. Complete and unfinished with jagged edges, horns blowing out hot steam in scales, and lyrics that flirt with clear purpose and sense. The group have more instruments than they have hands to play them, more cowbells than reason, and are trying to put the jigsaw of living together with pieces shaped uncannily like guitars, pin badges, records, roto-toms and tambourines.

To help raise funds, they have called upon the assistance of friends The Slow Country and Shy. 

The Slow Country: These new recruits of Manchester's Heist or Hit were, apparently, formerly known as Slow Horses, a name that was wisely corrected, considering they resemble Jackson Lamb in one quality alone - that of 'genius' - but as far as smell, demeanour and health go, they far supersede Mick Heron's protagonist.

Following the change of name, one can't help but reflect the importance of the term country in their title, for their pop is one inflected with the earnestness and sundown twang associated with country music's definition. Listen closer, and you will hear that this wonderful group maintains a passion and attitude routed in the punk records guitarist Joe Darley will have spun as one half of Manchester DJ-DUO 'Gut Feeling' in the depths of dive bars. Perhaps it is because of the suitability of The Slow Country's music to many moods, that they are so infectious, and so appropriate to listen to on the evening of Saturday, March 21st, 2026.
