The Producers at the Garrick Theatre is the first major London revival of Mel Brooks’ musical adaptation of The Producers. It transferred to the Garrick Theatre following a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, and is based on the classic cult film.
The story follows down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock and timid accountant Leo Bloom as they scheme to create the biggest flop in theatre history, only for the plan to backfire spectacularly. The original Broadway production won a record twelve Tony Awards.
Critically acclaimed principals Marc Antolin, Trevor Ashley, Raj Ghatak, Andy Nyman, Harry Morrison and Joanna Woodward return for the West End production. Richard Kind’s final performance in The Producers at the Garrick Theatre will be on 6 May 2026.
Key facts: West End production opens on 15 September, with previews from 30 August.
Age guidance is 13+. The production includes scenes of a sexual nature, references to Adolf Hitler and Nazis, strobe effects and loud sound effects including gunshots. Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over and sit in seats next to each other.
