The Producers at the Garrick Theatre is the first major London revival of Mel Brooks’ musical adaptation of The Producers, transferring this Autumn after a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Based on the classic cult film, the show follows down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock and timid accountant Leo Bloom as their plan to create the biggest flop in theatre history goes spectacularly wrong.
The original Broadway production won a record twelve Tony Awards. This West End production brings the show’s satire of Broadway traditions to London, with the principals from the Menier run returning for the transfer.
