The Producers at the Garrick Theatre is the first major London revival of Mel Brooks’ musical adaptation of the classic cult film. It transfers to the West End following a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
The show follows down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock and timid accountant Leo Bloom as they try to create the biggest flop in theatre history, only for the plan to backfire. The original Broadway production won a record twelve Tony Awards.
The West End production opens on 15 September, with previews from 30 August, and includes returning principals Marc Antolin, Trevor Ashley, Raj Ghatak, Andy Nyman, Harry Morrison and Joanna Woodward.
Key facts: Age guidance 13+. The production includes scenes of a sexual nature, references to Adolf Hitler and Nazis, strobe effects and loud sound effects including gunshots. Accessible performances are scheduled for Audio Described on Wednesday 15 July 2026 at 7.30pm, Captioned on Thursday 23 July 2026 at 7.30pm and BSL on Friday 7 August 2026 at 7.30pm.
