Wed Apr 03 (730pm-12am/Free Entry) - Live In the lounge continues its new monthly series of Improvisational Sessions hosted by the well funked up, afro, jazz and beyond improv Quartet FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT (Live) deep in the lounge. With deft deck action from selector supreme GW JAZZ/GORDON WEDDERBURN, you know we got soul, free entry at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm performing 2 live sets

“Freedom Of Movement” are a London based improv collective exploring infinite rhythmic and melodic possibilities. Joining the dots between Afro-Jazz, Afro-beat, Funk and beyond, the heavyweight line-up includes sax player Ben Hadwen (Emanative/Phil Ranelin), guitarist Jon Speedy (The Boom Yeh/Jally Kebba Susso), drummer Joey Agyeman (Ibibio Sound Machine) and bass player Matteo Grassi (Mulele Matondo/Jally Kebba Susso).

Note: Band members will temporarily change on occasion. But know that dips will always be of the highest quality and the show will always be funky!

GW JAZZ

Gordon Wedderburn is one half of the couple behind GW Jazz, a grassroots organization supporting Jazz, particularly emerging talent in London. Through his live event residencies, radio show, selector/dj activities and clothing brand, they’ve collaborated with and supported some of the biggest names on the London Jazz scene including, Sons of Kemet, Camilla George, Zara McFarlane, Ben Hayes, Nubiya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Lokkhi Terra, Dele Sosimi, Robert Mitchell, Collocutor, Tomorrow’s warriors and Ezra Collective.
