Internationally acclaimed drummer percussionist; future-music and live electronic music performance pioneer; professional international solo musician, producer, arranger and innovative cultural arts practitioner; Musical/Creative Director for the music/multi-°©-media performance project DRUM-FM and Stockholm-based live arts-education organization and interactive concept-club KULT-U-REAL™.

From its 1994 London/Brooklyn inception, Marque’s drumming and live performances with DRUM‐FM literally pioneered the musical sub-genre phenomenon known as Live DRUM’n'BASS! He remains an icon of independent Underground Music in the UK, Europe and beyond, heavily influenced and supported by his early years in New York City as a founder member of the infamous Black Rock Coalition.

Gilmore’s primary work over the past 35+ years connects ancient musical traditions, modern music and music-technology in both performance and production...otherwise known as: “Science-Friction-Drum-and-Space”.

SHELLEY NICOLE

Shelley Nicole is a transformational healer using the power of love and the energetic magic of music to shift the world. She is a songwriter, vocalist, composer, actor and founder of Shelley Nicole’s blaKbüshe. Shelley Nicole has released three albums. Her latest, I Am American, produced by Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid. Shelley Nicole has graced stages including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Apollo Theater.

She is a 2024 recipient of the NYFA Women’s Fund Grant and a Watermill Center Fellowship for her “Tao of Abbey Lincoln” electronic music project, and is also a cocollaborator on Nia O. Witherspoon’s “Priestess of Twerk: A Black Femme Star Temple + Wisdom School.

Shelley Nicole and Marque Gilmore are both long-time members of NYC’s BURNT SUGAR The ARKESTRA CHAMBER (founded by the legendary writer/culturalcritic/musician Greg Tate RIP) and will be bringing the New York meets London energies deep and heavy!
