Okinawa Day 2026 is an annual free festival celebrating the unique culture of the Ryukyu archipelago - the chain of islands in southern Japan that formed the historic Ryukyu Kingdom and retains its own distinct music, language and traditions. Now in its fifteenth year, the festival has grown into one of London's most distinctive cultural events, attracting audiences of up to 8,000 visitors.
The 2026 edition will introduce audiences to the music, dance and food of the Ryukyu Islands through live performances, hands-on workshops and a curated programme of food and craft stalls.

- Karate demonstrations
- Special guest performers from Okinawa and the Amami Islands
