About

Take an evening journey through music of elegance, lyricism, and expressive depth in this instalment of The Grand Tour concert series—each event devoted to the musical heritage of a different country, with this concert featuring Russia. Held in the intimate, candlelit surroundings of St Mary le Strand, one of London’s most exquisite Baroque churches, this recital offers a captivating exploration of keyboard writing from the 18th to the early 20th century.

Russian pianist Petr Limonov presents a refined and heartfelt programme that weaves together masterpieces  showcasing the breadth and beauty of the Russian piano tradition. Enjoy the performance with a complimentary Russian Vodka or Tea and allow the candlelit atmosphere to transport you—whether you are discovering this music for the first time or returning to it as a devoted listener.

Featuring
Petr Limonov (piano)

Programme
Scriabin - Preludes op. 11
Rachmaninov - Three Preludes
Scriabin - 5th Sonata Op. 53
