About London Eye - Standard Experience

The London Eye - Standard Experience takes place at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames. At 135 metres, it is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel, with 32 high-tech glass capsules and 360-degree views across London.

One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes. From the wheel, you can see landmarks including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square. On a clear day, the view can reach as far as Windsor Castle.

Key facts: one rotation takes approximately 30 minutes; infants aged 3 and under are free but still need a reserved ticket; children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Before you book

Entry: Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket. Bring your e-ticket printed or on a mobile device, as it will be scanned before the tour begins.

Children and tickets: Infants aged 3 and under are free but must still reserve a ticket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Changes and accessibility: There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase. The attraction is wheelchair accessible. Disabled guests should buy a standard ticket and request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival, showing proof of disability. For health and safety, only two wheelchairs are allowed per capsule and eight in total on the London Eye at any one time. Wheelchair timeslots should be booked in advance by emailing customer.services@londoneye.com with your order reference. Mobility scooters are not admitted.

Waterloo is the closest London Underground station, around five minutes’ walk away. Embankment and Charing Cross are a ten to fifteen minute walk via Hungerford Bridge. Westminster station is also nearby; take exit one and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
