About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames gives you a 30-minute rotation on the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel. At 135 metres high, it offers 40 kilometre panoramic views in all directions on a clear day.

The wheel has 32 high-tech glass capsules and provides 360-degree views across London, including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

Key facts: One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes. The London Eye stands 135 metres tall and the experience includes 32 glass capsules with panoramic views across the capital.

Before you book

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but they still need a ticket.

Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket and present it printed or on a mobile device for scanning before the start of your visit. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.

Disabled guests should buy a standard ticket and can request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival by showing proof of disability. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, but mobility scooters cannot be admitted. For health and safety reasons, only two wheelchairs are allowed per capsule and eight wheelchairs in total on the London Eye at any one time. It is recommended that wheelchair users book a timeslot in advance by emailing customer.services@londoneye.com with their order reference.

The London Eye is within easy walking distance of Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster Underground stations. Waterloo is the closest station, around five minutes' walk away. Embankment and Charing Cross are about 10 to 15 minutes' walk across Hungerford Bridge.
