About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience is a visit to the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames in Westminster. At 135 metres high, it is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel and has 32 high-tech glass capsules.

The standard experience takes one rotation of approximately 30 minutes and gives 360-degree views across London. On a clear day, visibility reaches up to 40 kilometres, with landmarks including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

Before you book

Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but they still need a ticket.

Disabled guests should purchase a standard ticket and will qualify for one complimentary helper ticket, requested on arrival on production of proof of disability. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, but only two wheelchairs are allowed per capsule and eight in total on the London Eye at any one time. Mobility scooters are not admitted.

Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket and present it printed or on a mobile device to be scanned in before the start of your visit. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.

Waterloo is the closest Underground station, about five minutes’ walk away. Embankment and Charing Cross are about ten to fifteen minutes’ walk, and Westminster is also nearby; from Westminster, take exit one and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
