About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames gives you a ride on the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel. Standing 135 metres high, it has 32 high-tech glass capsules.

As you turn, you get 360-degree views across London, with 40 kilometre panoramic views in all directions on a clear day. Landmarks listed include Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

Key facts: One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes.

Before you book

Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but still need a ticket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.

Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket. Present your e-ticket to staff, printed or on a mobile device, and you will be scanned in before the start of your visit.

There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase. Disabled guests should buy a standard ticket and can request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival, with proof of disability. The London Eye is wheelchair accessible, with a maximum of two wheelchairs per capsule and eight wheelchairs in total at any one time. Mobility scooters cannot be admitted. To book a wheelchair timeslot in advance, email customer.services@londoneye.com and quote your order reference.

The London Eye is within easy walking distance of Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster Underground stations. Waterloo is the closest station, around five minutes’ walk away. Embankment and Charing Cross are a ten to fifteen minute walk across Hungerford Bridge, and from Westminster station you should take exit one and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
