About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience takes place at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames. At 135 metres, the London Eye is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel, offering 360-degree views across London.

Each rotation takes around 30 minutes, with 32 high-tech glass capsules and panoramic views stretching up to 40 kilometres in all directions on a clear day. From the wheel you can see landmarks including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

The experience is designed as a standard ride on one of London’s best-known observation wheels, with views across the capital from start to finish.

Before you book

Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but must still reserve a ticket.

Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket and present it to a member of staff, either printed or on a mobile device, for scanning before the start of your tour. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.

Disabled guests should buy a standard ticket and can request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival by showing proof of disability. The London Eye is wheelchair accessible, but for health and safety reasons only two wheelchairs are allowed per capsule and a maximum of eight wheelchairs in total are allowed on the London Eye at any one time. Wheelchair users are recommended to book a timeslot in advance by emailing customer.services@londoneye.com and quoting the order reference. Mobility scooters are not admitted.

The London Eye is within walking distance of Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster Underground stations. Waterloo is the closest station, around five minutes’ walk away. Embankment and Charing Cross are about 10 to 15 minutes’ walk via Hungerford Bridge. From Westminster station, use exit one and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
