About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience takes place at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames. The London Eye is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel, standing 135 metres high at County Hall in Westminster.

From the wheel you can enjoy 360-degree views across London, with sights including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square. On a clear day, the views extend as far as Windsor Castle.

The wheel has 32 high-tech glass capsules and one rotation takes approximately 30 minutes.

Duration: One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes. Views: Up to 40 kilometres in all directions.

Before you book

Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket and present it to staff for scanning before the start of your visit. Tickets can be shown either printed or on a mobile device.

Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but they must still reserve a ticket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Disabled guests should purchase a standard ticket and will qualify for one complimentary helper ticket, which should be requested on arrival with proof of disability. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, with a maximum of two wheelchairs per capsule and eight wheelchairs in total at any one time. If you need a wheelchair timeslot, it is recommended that you book in advance by emailing customer.services@londoneye.com and quoting your order reference. Mobility scooters cannot be admitted.

There are no exchanges or refunds available after purchase.

The London Eye is within walking distance of several Underground stations. Waterloo is the closest, about five minutes’ walk away and signposted from the station for the South Bank. Embankment and Charing Cross are both around a 10 to 15 minute walk, crossing Hungerford Bridge. Westminster station is also nearby; take exit 1 and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
