About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames takes you on the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel. The wheel stands 135 metres high and is made up of 32 high-tech glass capsules.

One rotation lasts approximately 30 minutes and gives 360-degree views across London, including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square. On a clear day, the view can reach up to 40 kilometres.

Before you book

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but they must still reserve a ticket.

Disabled guests should buy a standard ticket and can request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival by showing proof of disability. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, but mobility scooters are not admitted. For health and safety reasons, only two wheelchairs are allowed per capsule and a maximum of eight wheelchairs in total are allowed on the London Eye at any one time.

Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket and present it to a member of staff, printed or on a mobile device, for scanning before the start of your tour. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.

The London Eye is within walking distance of Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster Underground stations. Waterloo is the closest station, about five minutes’ walk away. Embankment and Charing Cross are around 10 to 15 minutes’ walk, across Hungerford Bridge. From Westminster station, take exit one and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
