About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames takes you on one rotation in the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel. The attraction stands 135 metres high and is made up of 32 high-tech glass capsules.

From the capsule you can take in 360-degree views across London, with up to 40 kilometre visibility on a clear day. Landmarks visible include Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

Key facts: One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes. The London Eye offers panoramic views across the capital from 135 metres above the river.

Before you book

Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but they must still reserve a ticket. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.

Disabled guests should purchase a standard ticket and can request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival, on presentation of proof of disability. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, with a limit of two wheelchairs per capsule and eight wheelchairs on the London Eye at any one time. Once your standard ticket is booked, wheelchair timeslots should be arranged in advance, quoting your order reference. Mobility scooters cannot be admitted.

Please go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket. Present your e-ticket printed or on a mobile device and you will be scanned in before the start of your visit. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.

The London Eye is within easy walking distance of Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster Underground stations. Waterloo is the closest station, about five minutes away on foot. Embankment and Charing Cross are about a 10 to 15 minute walk, and from both stations you cross Hungerford Bridge.
