About London Eye - Standard Experience

The London Eye - Standard Experience at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames takes you in one of the wheel’s 32 high-tech glass capsules for views across London.

At 135 metres high, the London Eye is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel. On a clear day, the views reach up to 40 kilometres in all directions and include landmarks such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

Key facts: one rotation takes approximately 30 minutes; the wheel stands 135 metres high; there are 32 high-tech glass capsules.

Before you book

Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but they still need a ticket.

Please go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket. Show your e-ticket printed or on a mobile device, and you will be scanned in before the start of your experience.

Disabled guests should purchase a standard ticket and can request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival, subject to proof of disability. The London Eye is wheelchair accessible, but for health and safety only two wheelchairs are allowed per capsule and up to eight wheelchairs in total at any one time. Mobility scooters cannot be admitted. If you need a wheelchair timeslot, email customer.services@londoneye.com after booking and quote your order reference. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.

The London Eye is within walking distance of Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster underground stations. Waterloo is the closest station, around five minutes away. From Embankment and Charing Cross, cross Hungerford Bridge; from Westminster, take exit 1 and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
