About London Eye - Standard Experience

The London Eye Standard Experience takes place at the London Eye, on the South Bank of the River Thames. It is a 30-minute rotation on one of the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheels, standing 135 metres high.

The wheel has 32 high-tech glass capsules and 360-degree views across London. On a clear day, the panoramic view stretches for 40 kilometres and includes landmarks such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

Key facts: One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes. The London Eye has 32 glass capsules and offers 40 kilometre panoramic views in all directions.

Before you book

Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but they must still reserve a ticket. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.

Disabled guests should purchase a standard ticket and will qualify for one complimentary helper ticket, requested on arrival with proof of disability. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, with a maximum of two wheelchairs per capsule and eight wheelchairs in total at any one time. Mobility scooters cannot be admitted. To arrange a wheelchair timeslot in advance, email customer.services@londoneye.com and quote your order reference.

Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket. Present your e-ticket, printed or on a mobile device, to a member of staff to be scanned in before the start of your tour. There are no exchanges or refunds available after purchase.

The London Eye is within walking distance of several Underground stations. Waterloo is the closest, about five minutes away and signposted from the South Bank. Embankment and Charing Cross are a ten to fifteen minute walk via Hungerford Bridge, and Westminster is also nearby; take exit one and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
